HDAA is delighted to announce our approval as a Third Party Verifier for the New South Wales Disability Service Standards (NSW DSS).
ADHC’s quality reform is built on the National Quality Framework and the NSW DSS (which align with the national Disability Service Standards) are designed to support the development of a consistent approach to quality assurance to ensure that supports and services are delivered to a standard of quality that meets clients’ and community expectations.
Within three years (by 30 June 2015), all funded service providers must:
- Implement a quality management system (if you do not already have one); and
- Provide evidence to an independent third party to confirm organisational performance against the NSW Disability Service Standards.
Service providers are required to undertake an independent assessment (also known as third party verification) of their performance against the NSW Disability Service Standards (NSW DSS), once during the life of each funding agreement held with ADHC . This process will include recognition of other quality standards and systems a service provider may have in place and HDAA is working with NDS NSW to support Disability Service Providers in NSW to undertake assessment to the NSW DSS. .
